Strong Start Fades Steadily Over 10K Sultan Alhosani finished the 2026 Boulderthon 10K in 1:00:16. He opened with a brisk 7:54 first mile, the fastest stretch of his race, then eased through the middle miles before settling into a steadier rhythm across miles 4 and 5. The final mile slowed to 11:10, closing out a race that showed an aggressive early pace giving way to a more measured finish. Racing at over 5,000 feet of elevation in Boulder, Alhosani's early speed reflects well on his conditioning, even as the back half cost him some time. A more even pacing strategy from the start could help him hold closer to that opening mile's rhythm in future 10Ks.
