Date: Sept. 27, 2026 Participant: Eric Emeott #32546 Race: 2026 Boulderthon 10K Distance: 6.2 miles
Strong Opening Mile Anchors a Steady 10K Finish Eric Emeott completed the 2026 Boulderthon 10K in 1:00:31, an average pace of 9:45 per mile. He opened with his fastest mile of the day at 9:07, then settled into a rhythm that eased through the middle miles, dipping to a 10:15 split at mile four before rallying to 9:32 in mile five. The final mile slowed to 10:45 as he approached the finish. Racing across Boulder's 5,000-plus feet of elevation, Emeott's early pace set the tone for a race that closed on the Pearl Street Mall in downtown Boulder. With the 10K field starting at 8:10 AM, his opening mile stands as the clear highlight of his run, a mark he might look to sustain longer in future starts.
