Date: Sept. 27, 2026 Participant: John Michael Lucido #24436 Race: 2026 Boulderthon Half Marathon Distance: 13.1 miles

Nearly 19 Minutes Faster Than His Last Half Marathon John Michael Lucido finished this year's half marathon in 2:02:03, a sizable improvement over his 2024 Boulderthon half marathon time of 2:20:49. His overall place also rose from 2,332th to 1,769th, and his gender place improved from 1,228th to 1,137th, out of a larger field this year. His pacing showed strong control after a mid-race dip: an opening mile of 8:28 gave way to a slower fifth mile at 11:31, before he settled back into a steady rhythm. From mile 9 through the finish, he averaged roughly 8:49 per mile, closing with consistency across the final five miles. This year's half marathon course also featured a redesigned route with net elevation gain cut nearly in half, from 384 to 203 feet, a shift reflected in his more even closing pace.
