Date: Sept. 27, 2026 Participant: Elizabeth Ortega #32145 Race: 2026 Boulderthon 10K Distance: 6.2 miles

Quickest Mile Pace Yet at Boulderthon Elizabeth Ortega finished the 10K in 1:04:10, averaging 10:21 per mile. She opened fast with a 9:54 first mile, tightened to 9:28 by mile two her strongest stretch of the race and held between 9:40 and 9:59 cumulative pace through mile three before easing over the final miles. That per-mile pace was her quickest across her Boulderthon starts, faster than the 11:04 she ran at the 2025 Half Marathon and the 13:22 from this years Marathon. Like every Boulderthon distance, her race ended on the Pearl Street Mall in downtown Boulder, a finish shes now reached across three different distances at the event. Running through Boulders altitude above 5,000 feet, her steady early pace through the first three miles stands out as the most consistent segment of her day.
