Date: Sept. 27, 2026 Participant: Henry Whipple #42412 Race: 2026 Boulderthon 5K Distance: 3.1 miles

Fast Start Fuels Age-Group Win Henry Whipple finished 16th overall and 13th among men in the 2026 Boulderthon 5K, crossing in 16:01 to take first in the men's 30-34 division. That result placed him in the top slice of a 2,677-person field. His race built quickly, dropping from a 5:03 opening mile to a 4:36 second mile before settling into 5:47 to close. That middle mile stood out as his fastest of the race, a strong surge before the finish on the Pearl Street Mall in downtown Boulder. With Boulder's elevation over 5,000 feet as backdrop, Whipple's pacing showed control worth building on perhaps evening the final mile to match that strong middle-mile rhythm next time out.
