Strong Start Fuels Steady 10K Finish Sapana Shrestha covered the 2026 Boulderthon 10K in 1:02:47, finishing 884th overall out of a field of 3,071 and 408th among women. Her race opened quickly, with the first two miles ticking by in 9:20 and 9:15, the fastest sustained stretch of her day. From there the pace eased gradually, settling into the 10:0010:11 range through the middle miles before a slower final mile brought her cumulative pace to 10:07 per mile. That opening surge, run at altitude above 5,000 feet in downtown Boulder, set the tone for a race that held together well despite the late fade. Building a touch more cushion in the closing mile could help her carry that early rhythm all the way to the mall finish next time.
