Date: Sept. 27, 2026 Participant: Kevin Gabauer #32385 Race: 2026 Boulderthon 10K Distance: 6.2 miles

Steady Pace, Slower Year Over Year at Boulderthon 10K Kevin Gabauer finished the 2026 Boulderthon 10K in 51:54, marking his slowest showing at this event across four consecutive appearances, trailing his 2023 time of 46:35, 2024 time of 50:01, and 2025 time of 53:06 though this year's result reversed last year's slide toward slower finishes. Gabauer's opening mile came in at 8:18, and he found a consistent rhythm through the middle miles, holding between 8:06 and 8:21 from mile two through five. His fifth mile was his fastest full-mile stretch of the race at 8:06 per mile. The final mile eased slightly as he brought the race home in downtown Boulder, a fitting stage in a city sitting north of 5,000 feet of elevation.
