Fast Start Fades Into a Steady Grind Tyler Jensen finished the 10K in 1:03:16, an average pace of 10:12 per mile, placing 912th overall and 488th among men out of the field of 3,071 at the 2026 Boulderthon. Jensen's race opened strong, with a 7:55 opening mile that ranked among his best of the day, before the pace steadily eased through the middle miles, climbing past 10:00 and then 11:00 per mile as fatigue set in. A brief rebound in mile five to 10:27 offered a lift before the final mile slowed to 12:17. Given Boulder's mile-high elevation, holding sub-8:00 early pace was a notable move future efforts might look at pacing that first mile a touch more conservatively to sustain speed longer into the race.
