Date: Sept. 27, 2026 Participant: Eduardo Magana Orantes #40367 Race: 2026 Boulderthon 5K Distance: 3.1 miles

Nearly Identical Time, One Mile Faster Eduardo Magana Orantes finished the 2026 Boulderthon 5K in 31:36, essentially matching his 31:40 from the previous year and shaving four seconds off his time. His overall placement shifted from 545th to 755th and his gender placement from 303rd to 449th, reflecting a larger field rather than a change in his own effort. Across the race, his pace moved from 9:50 in the opening mile to a quicker 9:17 in the second his fastest mile of the day before easing to 11:47 over the closing stretch. That middle mile stood out as his strongest sustained effort, a small improvement worth noting given he covered the same distance last year in almost identical time. Running at Boulder's elevation of over 5,000 feet adds context to both performances.
