Date: Sept. 27, 2026 Participant: Alexander Treshchev #41087 Race: 2026 Boulderthon 5K Distance: 3.1 miles

Strong Middle Mile Powers a Solid 5K Finish Alexander Treshchev crossed the 2026 Boulderthon 5K in 25:18, placing 251st overall and 189th among men out of the field of 2,677. That's a few seconds slower than his 24:58 finish at the same race in 2025, though this year's field was notably larger. The race unfolded with an opening mile of 9:11, before Treshchev found his rhythm and clipped off a 7:11 second mile, his fastest stretch of the day. He settled into an 8:12 pace for the final mile, closing out a race run at altitude in downtown Boulder, a city recognized by National Geographic as the Happiest City in America. A touch more consistency between miles one and two could shave time off future results.
