Strong Early Pace Carries Her Into the Top 4% Erin Bernier finished the 2026 Boulderthon 10K in 47:26 (7:39 min/mile), placing 105th overall and 30th among women in a field of 3,071. Bernier's race unfolded in two distinct phases: a controlled, consistent first five miles hovering between 7:11 and 7:48 per mile, followed by a final mile that slowed to 8:49 as she approached the finish. Her strongest stretch came early, covering mile two in 7:11, the fastest mile of her race. That early rhythm built a cushion that held up well over the closing miles. With the 10K starting at 8:10 AM and finishing along the Pearl Street Mall in downtown Boulder, sitting above 5,000 feet, Bernier's pacing held remarkably steady for most of the distance before the finishing stretch.
