Strong Start Fuels Solid 10K Finish Aaron Bodrog finished the 2026 Boulderthon 10K in 57:44. He opened with a 7:19 first mile, his fastest of the race, and held pace near 8:07 per mile through three miles before easing over the back half, closing with a 9:20 per mile average by the finish. Bodrog's early miles were the highlight, with his opening 7:19 mile standing well clear of anything that followed. The race settled into a steadier rhythm from mile three onward, with a gradual softening of pace each mile after. Boulder's elevation, over 5,000 feet, is worth noting as context for that early pace before the later miles cost him some time. A touch more even pacing from mile two onward could help him carry that early speed further into future 10Ks.
