Date: Sept. 27, 2026 Participant: Blaise Bogue #42419 Race: 2026 Boulderthon 5K Distance: 3.1 miles

Strong Start Fades Late in the Mile High Air Blaise Bogue, 19, of Colorado Springs finished the 2026 Boulderthon 5K in 32:24. His race showed an early surge, easing from 9:21 in the first mile to 8:48 in the secondhis fastest mile of the daybefore a marked slowdown to 13:19 over the final stretch, pushing his overall pace back to 10:27 per mile. Running at Boulder's elevation of over 5,000 feet, Bogue's early miles reflected sharp pacing before the effort caught up with him late. Given that quick second mile, a touch more control up front could help him carry that strength through the finish next time.
