Mcmurry's opening mile came in at 8:41, and she held between 8:44 and 8:57 cumulative pace through the first five miles, showing consistent control across the middle of the race. The final mile slowed to 10:11, nudging her overall pace up slightly, but the first five miles stand as her strongest sustained stretch of the day. Given that steadiness through the bulk of the course, working on finishing strength over that last mile could be a worthwhile focus for a future race. The race finished on the historic Pearl Street Mall in downtown Boulder, a fitting close to a well-paced effort at over 5,000 feet of elevation.
