Date: Sept. 27, 2026 Participant: Siddhant Desai #40654 Race: 2026 Boulderthon 5K Distance: 3.1 miles

Nearly Four Minutes Faster: A 5K Breakthrough Siddhant Desai crossed the 2026 Boulderthon 5K in 18:59, finishing 55th overall and 42nd among men out of a field of 2,677. That mark is a sharp improvement over his 22:48 in the 2025 Boulderthon 5K, shaving nearly four minutes off his time and moving up from 124th overall. Desai went out fastest over the opening mile at 5:43, then eased slightly to 6:11 and 6:19 over the next two miles, a controlled fade that still produced a strong overall pace of 6:07 per mile. That first mile stands as the standout stretch of his race. Running at Boulder's altitude of over 5,000 feet, Desai's pacing shows a runner capable of an even split approach on his next trip through downtown Boulder.
