Date: Sept. 27, 2026 Participant: Hailey Beck #40957 Race: 2026 Boulderthon 5K Distance: 3.1 miles

Strong Middle Mile Powers Steady 5K Finish Hailey Beck finished the 2026 Boulderthon 5K in 27:00, an 8:42 pace over the 3.1-mile course. Beck's race shape was uneven but resilient: an opening mile of 9:28 gave way to a strong second mile at 7:24, her fastest stretch of the day, before settling back to 9:19 over the closing mile. That middle-mile surge stands out as the highlight of her race, showing a real gear shift once she found her rhythm. With Boulder's elevation over 5,000 feet as a backdrop, Beck might consider working toward a more even pacing strategy in future 5Ks, easing off slightly early to preserve energy for a stronger finish.
