Date: Sept. 27, 2026 Participant: Rainor Ramirez #41545 Race: 2026 Boulderthon 5K Distance: 3.1 miles

Strong Start Fades Over Final Mile Rainor Ramirez completed the 2026 Boulderthon 5K in 30:10, finishing 602nd overall and 384th among men in a field of 2,677. Ramirez opened with a brisk 9:00 first mile, nearly matching that pace through mile two at 9:03 cumulative. The final mile slowed to an 11:08 split, pushing his overall pace to 9:43 per mile by the finish. That opening two-mile stretch, run at altitude above 5,000 feet in Boulder, stood as the strongest portion of his race before the late fade. Tightening the gap between his early and closing miles could help him carry more of that early rhythm to the finish line on the Pearl Street Mall.
