Date: Sept. 27, 2026 Participant: Willy Jeffries #23269 Race: 2026 Boulderthon Half Marathon Distance: 13.1 miles

Steady Build Ends in a Sharp Finishing Kick Willy Jeffries covered the half marathon in 2:01:02, opening with an 11:10 first mile and steadily working down to a 7:29 closing mile, the fastest mile of his race. That pattern showed a runner who found rhythm as the distance wore on, trimming pace nearly every mile from the midpoint onward. His strongest stretch came late, with miles 11 through 13 clicking off in the high 7:00s and low 8:00s after opening near 11-minute pace. That surge came as he passed through the lululemon Power-Up Zone near mile 9.5, and carried through to the finish on the Pearl Street Mall in downtown Boulder a strong way to close out a course that sits more than 5,000 feet above sea level.
