Fast Start Fuels Top-Tier 5K Finish Jonathan Swanson ran the 2026 Boulderthon 5K in 21:53, finishing 113th overall and 87th among men out of the field of 2,677. That result put him in the top slice of finishers on the day. Swanson's race went out hard and settled through the finish: a 6:18 opening mile was his fastest of the day, before easing to 7:01 and 7:46 over the final two miles. That first mile stood out as his strongest stretch, building an early cushion he carried to the line. Given the mile-high starting elevation in Boulder, the early pace was a strong statement, and dialing in a touch more even effort across the back half could be a useful target for his next 5K.
