Date: Sept. 27, 2026 Participant: Rodolfo Ramos Leyva #40219 Race: 2026 Boulderthon 5K Distance: 3.1 miles

Fast Start Fuels Top 5% 5K Finish Rodolfo Ramos Leyva crossed the 2026 Boulderthon 5K in 22:26, finishing 130th overall out of the field of 2,677 and 99th among men, a result that lands in the top 10 percent of the race. His opening mile was the highlight, clocked at 6:27, the fastest mile-plus stretch of his race. Pace eased slightly through the middle mile at 6:50 before settling to 8:23 over the closing mile, still enough to hold a strong overall time of 22:26. Given his early tempo, working on sustaining that opening pace deeper into the race could be a worthwhile focus for a future 5K, run at altitude in a city that's been named the Happiest City in America.
