Date: Sept. 27, 2026 Participant: Elizabeth Sklaire #42434 Race: 2026 Boulderthon 5K Distance: 3.1 miles

Strong Start Anchors a Sub-20 5K Elizabeth Sklaire finished the 5K in 19:31, placing 64th overall and 15th among women in the field, and 3rd in the F 20-24 division. That combination of overall and gender placement lands her in the top tier of the 2026 Boulderthon field. Her race went out fast, with a 6:06 opening mile followed by an even quicker 6:03 second mile her strongest stretch of the day. The final mile eased to 6:34 as the overall pace settled to 6:17 min/mile, a small fade after a well-paced opening two miles. Given the elevation in Boulder, sitting above 5,000 feet, that early pace was a bold move worth building on for future 5Ks.
