Strong Middle Mile Powers Denver Runner to Sub-30 5K Tika Batra finished the 2026 Boulderthon 5K in 28:13, running at Denver in the 32-year-old bracket. This result follows her 2024 Boulderthon 10K finish of 55:41, a slightly quicker per-mile clip on that longer distance. Batra opened her first mile at 9:36, then surged to an 8:02 second mile the fastest stretch of her race before settling to a 9:51 close. That middle-mile push moved her from 540th overall at the first checkpoint up into the 300s by the finish, a solid mid-race gear change worth noting for pacing strategy going forward.
