Strong Middle Mile Powers a Steady 5K Finish Sanjay Amin finished the 5K in 27:55, an overall pace of 9:00 per mile. His race unfolded in three distinct phases: an opening mile at 9:05, a sharp drop to 7:46 for the second mile, and a final mile that eased back to 10:09 as he brought it home. That middle mile stands out as the fastest stretch of his race, a notable surge before the finish. Running at Boulder's altitude of over 5,000 feet, Amin's pacing shows a runner willing to push mid-race before settling in for the close.
