Her second mile was the highlight, covered in 8:30, well ahead of her opening 10:09 and closing 10:47 miles. That middle-mile surge shows Bell's ability to shift gears once settled into the race, and finding a way to sustain more of that rhythm through the final mile could be a rewarding next step.
