Strong Start Fuels Top 3% Finish David Fishman crossed the 5K finish in 20:00, placing 80th overall and 61st among men out of the field of 2,677 in the 2026 Boulderthon. He finished fifth in the men's 35-39 division. His race unfolded with a fast opening6:05 for the first milebefore an even quicker second mile locked in his best pace of the day. That second mile, covered in 5:45, stood out as the highlight of the race, briefly pushing him to second in his age group before a 7:26 final mile settled his overall pace at 6:27 per mile. Running at Boulder's elevation of over 5,000 feet, Fishman's early speed set the tone for a solid overall result. A touch more even pacing between miles two and three could help sustain that early rhythm through the finish.
