Date: Sept. 27, 2026 Participant: Cade Godbe #40090 Race: 2026 Boulderthon 5K Distance: 3.1 miles

Fast Start Fades Slightly Before Strong Finish on Pearl Street Cade Godbe covered the 5K in 22:45, an overall pace of 7:20 per mile. He opened with a 7:21 first mile, then surged to a 6:55 second mile his fastest of the race before easing to 7:51 over the closing stretch as the course wound toward the finish. Godbe's race unfolded at altitude, with Boulder sitting above 5,000 feet, and he closed things out on the historic Pearl Street Mall alongside the rest of the field of 2,677. The strong middle mile stands as the highlight of his race; building a bit more evenness between miles two and three could be a useful target for next time.
