Strong Middle Mile Powers Steady 5K Finish Maritza Ramirez completed the 2026 Boulderthon 5K in 30:58, an overall pace of 9:59 per mile. Her race shape was a clear V: an opening mile at 10:24, a sharp drop to 8:39 for mile two, then a return to 10:44 for the closing mile. That middle mile stands as the standout stretch of the race, more than a minute faster than either mile flanking it. Finishing in downtown Boulder on the Pearl Street Mall, Ramirez completed her 5K in a city that sits above 5,000 feet of elevation, a notable backdrop for any distance on this course.
