Her opening mile was quick at 7:13, then she surged to a 6:50 second mile, her fastest of the race, pulling her cumulative pace down to 7:01 per mile. The final mile slowed to 9:02, pushing her overall pace to 7:43 per mile at the finish. Wright's race took shape as a strong front half followed by a tapering close. Given the sharp early pace, holding closer to that rhythm through the final mile could be a worthwhile focus for her next race in Boulder, a city sitting at over 5,000 feet of elevationcontext worth remembering given how well she managed those first two miles.
