Big Rebound: Nearly an Hour Faster on the Marathon Eric Schirmer finished the marathon in 3:23:10, placing 66th overall and 58th among men out of the field of 3,305. That's a dramatic improvement from his 2023 Boulderthon marathon finish of 4:19:25, cutting more than 56 minutes off his time. Schirmer ran a strikingly even race through the first 21 miles, holding between 7:19 and 7:45 per mile with no significant dips. His standout stretch came from mile 17 to mile 21, where he covered five miles at roughly 7:15 per mile, moving through the field's ranks as he approached the course's later stages near the lululemon Power-Up Zone around mile 22.5. The closing miles slowed from that early rhythm, but the overall pacing across the marathon's rolling backroads and finish on the Pearl Street Mall reflects a well-managed effort at altitude.
