Strong Middle Mile Fuels a Steady 5K Effort Rudi Laveran completed the 2026 Boulderthon 5K in 32:46, an average pace of 10:34 per mile. He opened with a 10:33 first mile, then surged to a 9:15 second mile before easing to an 11:32 close. That middle mile stood out as the fastest stretch of the race, showing a solid mid-race gear change. The final mile settled back near the opening pace, a pattern worth watchingRudi might consider holding a bit more in reserve through the middle mile to sustain that speed into the finish on future 5Ks.
