Strong Start Carries Through a Steady Half Marathon Naomi Bastow finished the 2026 Boulderthon Half Marathon in 1:45:20, faster than her 2024 result of 1:48:32 but off the pace of her 1:39:49 finish in 2025. Her race opened briskly, with the first six miles clicking off between 7:20 and 7:34 per mile, before a natural easing in the second half settled her final overall pace at 8:02 per mile. That opening 6-mile stretch stands out as the fastest sustained running of her day, holding sub-7:35 pace through terrain that, on this redesigned half marathon course, now carries nearly 50% less elevation gain than in previous years. Given that shift, and Boulder's elevation above 5,000 feet, Bastow's ability to bank time early paid dividends by the finish.
