Date: Sept. 27, 2026 Participant: Andy Jurgenen Gloege #41652 Race: 2026 Boulderthon 5K Distance: 3.1 miles

Steady Strides Through a Solid 5K Andy Jurgenen Gloege completed the 2026 Boulderthon 5K in 42:53. Racing in the M 14 & Under division, he finished 35th among his peers. Andy's pace moved through phases over the three miles: a 14:07 opening mile, a quicker middle mile at 12:45, and a final mile of 14:26. His second mile stood out as his fastest stretch of the race, showing a strong surge before settling in for the finish. Racing at altitude in Boulder, sitting over 5,000 feet, adds to the physical demand of any distance on this course. Andy's ability to find a faster gear mid-race is a good building block heading into future starts worth revisiting in training to see if that pace can be sustained a bit longer next time.
