Date: Sept. 27, 2026 Participant: Morgan Beadlescomb #140026 Race: 2026 Boulderthon 5K Distance: 3.1 miles

Wire-to-Wire Victory Anchored by a Blistering Second Mile Morgan Beadlescomb topped the field of 2,677 at the 2026 Boulderthon 5K, crossing the line in 13:47 to claim the overall and men's titles. He split the race almost perfectly in two: a strong opening mile in 4:23, then surged to the front through the middle before holding on over the closing stretch. That second mile was the highlight of the race 4:00 flat, the fastest mile of his 5K and the one that put him in sole possession of first place. From there he closed in 4:59, enough to preserve the lead he had built. Racing at altitude in Boulder, over 5,000 feet above sea level, Beadlescomb's pacing shows a runner willing to press early and control the field rather than wait to react.
