Strong Opening Miles Anchor a Solid Half Marathon Bobby Stuckey finished the 2026 Boulderthon Half Marathon in 1:37:51, placing third in the M55-59 division. That's a modest step back from his 2025 result of 1:35:46, though this year's field of 7,223 was larger. Stuckey's race was defined by a fast, controlled start: his first six miles clicked off between 6:58 and 7:13, settling into an elapsed pace of 7:07 by mile six the strongest stretch of his day. Miles seven through ten cooled to the high 7:00s and low 8:00s before he closed with a rally, dropping to 7:22 in mile twelve. This year's half course carried nearly 50% less elevation gain than before, a shift runners at Boulder's altitude should notice in their legs over 13.1 miles.
