Steady Pacing Delivers a Top-1% Finish Jason Quesada finished the 2026 Boulderthon Half Marathon in 1:24:37, placing 75th overall and 65th among men in a field of 7,223, with a runner-up finish in the M50-54 division. The result edges his 2024 Boulderthon half time of 1:24:58, a slight improvement built on nearly identical pacing discipline across both races. Quesada opened with a 6:14 first mile and held a tight 6:15-6:28 rhythm through the middle miles, dipping briefly to 6:40 and 6:54 over miles 7 and 8 before rebounding. His strongest sustained stretch came late, closing mile 12 in 6:12 to set up a final mile at 6:30. The race, run at Boulder's altitude of over 5,000 feet, finished on the Pearl Street Mall in downtown Boulder a fitting cap to a well-paced effort.
