Steady Start Fuels a Determined Finish Through Boulder's 10K Krystal Maxwell completed the 2026 Boulderthon 10K in 1:00:46. She opened with her fastest mile of the day at 8:48, then eased gradually through the middle miles, settling into a cumulative pace near 9:30 per mile by mile five before the final mile brought a natural tapering to the overall pace. Maxwell's first mile stood out as her strongest sustained stretch, setting a brisk tone that carried her cumulative pace under 9:00 per mile through the second mile. Finishing in downtown Boulder on the Pearl Street Mall, she completed a course that took her through the city sitting at over 5,000 feet of elevation a solid showing against that backdrop.
