Strong Closing Miles Seal a Top-10% Finish Wang crossed the line in 1:49:06, placing 719th overall out of the field of 7,223 and 196th among women a result inside the top 10% of the field. Her pace held remarkably steady through the race, hovering near 8:108:20 per mile before dipping through miles 8 and 11, then rallying hard down the stretch. Miles 12 and 13 were her fastest of the back half, averaging roughly 8:08 per mile as she pulled back from a slower patch to finish with authority. That surge carried her onto the Pearl Street Mall in downtown Boulder, a finish run at more than 5,000 feet of elevation a fitting close to a well-paced effort.
