Date: Sept. 27, 2026 Participant: Michael Vrabel #41073 Race: 2026 Boulderthon 5K Distance: 3.1 miles

Strong Middle Mile Powers Third-Place Age Group Finish Michael Vrabel finished the 2026 Boulderthon 5K in 27:01, placing third in the M60-64 division. After an opening mile of 8:11, he surged to a 7:25 second milehis fastest of the racebefore finishing with a 10:15 close to complete the 3.1 miles at 8:43 per mile overall. Boulder's elevation, over 5,000 feet, adds context to any effort here. Vrabel's race shape showed a strong build into the middle mile before settling in on the final stretch, a pattern worth noting for pacing in future starts if he wants to carry that second-mile strength closer to the finish line on the Pearl Street Mall.
