Date: Sept. 27, 2026 Participant: Marisa Guidone #41037 Race: 2026 Boulderthon 5K Distance: 3.1 miles

Strong Middle Mile Powers a Top-Tier 5K Finish Marisa Guidone crossed the line in 22:21, placing 126th overall and 30th among women in a field of 2,677 at the 2026 Boulderthon 5K. That result put her solidly among the race's faster finishers. Her pacing showed a classic surge-and-settle pattern: an opening mile of 7:11, a strong second mile at 6:56 her fastest stretch of the race before easing to 7:24 over the closing mile. Given Boulder's elevation above 5,000 feet, that middle-mile push stands out as the highlight of her race. A touch more evenness between miles two and three could help her sustain that pace even longer next time.
