Date: Sept. 27, 2026 Participant: Sepehr Rezaei #40271 Race: 2026 Boulderthon 5K Distance: 3.1 miles

Fast Start Fades Late Over Final Mile Sepehr Rezaei covered the 5K in 28:00. His race showed a strong front half, clicking off the opening mile in 7:50 and holding to 8:03 for the second, before easing back to an 11:05 closing mile. The first two miles stand out as his sharpest stretch, run nearly a minute per mile faster than the pace that followed. Rezaei's race unfolded on Boulder's downtown course, at an elevation topping 5,000 feet, finishing on the historic Pearl Street Mall alongside the marathon, half marathon, 10K and Kids Run fields. With his early pace, there's room to explore holding that rhythm a bit longer into the closing stretch next time out.
