Steady Pace Through the Field, Capped by a Late Surge Lilly Coulter finished the Half Marathon at the 2026 Boulderthon in 1:50:48, averaging 8:27 per mile. Her pace stayed remarkably even through the first ten miles, hovering between 8:20 and 8:41 without much drift. Mile 11 brought a brief dip to 9:16, but she answered immediately, pushing mile 12 down to 7:51 her fastest mile of the race before settling back to 8:26 to close things out. That mile 12 surge stood out as the sharpest segment of her race, showing a strong final push before the finish. Coulter completed the course at over 5,000 feet of elevation, a factor every runner in Boulder contends with regardless of pace. Her ability to hold form and even accelerate late in the race speaks well of her overall pacing strategy for the distance.
