Date: Sept. 27, 2026 Participant: Maria Teodoro #42362 Race: 2026 Boulderthon 5K Distance: 3.1 miles

Fast Middle Mile Anchors a Steady 5K Effort Maria Teodoro completed the 5K in 28:09, an average pace of 9:04 per mile. Her race built through a quick middle mile before easing back over the closing stretch, reflecting a controlled effort across the three-mile distance. Her second mile was the standout of the day, covered in 8:10, nearly a minute faster than her opening mile and the fastest mile-plus stretch of her race. That surge pushed her pace well under 9:00 per mile at the two-mile mark before a slightly slower closing mile brought her home. She crossed the finish line on the Pearl Street Mall in downtown Boulder, a fitting cap to a well-paced run through a city sitting above 5,000 feet of elevation.
