Date: Sept. 27, 2026 Participant: Donovan Day #42039 Race: 2026 Boulderthon 5K Distance: 3.1 miles

Steady Pace Matches Prior Effort Despite Late Fade Donovan Day crossed the 2026 Boulderthon 5K in 35:09, matching his previous finish in the same event down to the second. Nearly identical splits and overall pace show a runner who repeats his effort reliably, even as his division position shifted from the 14 & Under category previously to 30-34 this time. The race unfolded with a strong opening mile at 10:21 pace, the fastest stretch of the day, before easing through the second mile at a 10:33 cumulative pace. The final mile brought a bigger slowdown, pushing the cumulative pace to 11:22 by the finish. Running at Boulder's altitude of over 5,000 feet, Day might look to sustain that early rhythm deeper into the race next time.
