Date: Sept. 27, 2026 Participant: Beth Catchpole #40969 Race: 2026 Boulderthon 5K Distance: 3.1 miles

Strong Middle Mile Powers 5K Finish Beth Catchpole finished the 2026 Boulderthon 5K in 29:52, placing 7th in the F50-54 division. Catchpole opened her first mile in 9:49, then surged to an 8:22 second mile her fastest of the race before easing to 10:43 over the closing stretch to the Pearl Street Mall finish. That middle-mile push was the clear highlight of her race, dropping her overall pace before the final mile settled her back toward an even effort. With altitude in downtown Boulder sitting above 5,000 feet, that second-mile surge stands out as a strong showing worth building on in future races.
