Strong Finish Powers Top-1% Result Jared Bell crossed in 1:23:45, placing 63rd overall and 53rd among men in a field of 7,223 at the 2026 Boulderthon. His pace tightened steadily through the race, easing from 6:58 at mile 1 into a steady 6:116:33 range through the middle miles, then dropping sharply to 5:46 and 5:57 over miles 12 and 13 his fastest mile of the race, closing with real strength. That late surge came at altitude, with Boulder sitting above 5,000 feet, on a 2026 half marathon course whose net elevation gain was cut nearly in half, from 384 feet to 203 feet. Bell might look to carry that closing pace into the middle miles next time, where a touch more aggression could sharpen an already strong overall finish.
