Steady Pace Through 12 Miles, Then a Sharp Closing Kick Drew Noolas finished the half marathon in 1:36:39, placing 261st overall and 214th among men out of the field of 7,223. Noolas ran a remarkably even race, holding between 7:21 and 7:35 per mile for the first eleven miles with barely a few seconds of variance split to split. The pace then dropped, with mile 12 clocking 7:06 and mile 13 at 6:40 his fastest mile of the day as he pushed toward the finish. That closing mile carried him onto the historic Pearl Street Mall, where every Boulderthon distance ends, capping a well-paced effort with a strong final surge.
