Steady Start Fuels a Gradual Half-Marathon Journey Carlin Karr covered the 2026 Boulderthon Half Marathon in 2:31:05, an average pace of 11:32 per mile. She returns to Boulderthon after running the 5K in 2025, this time tackling more than four times the distance. Her opening mile, clocked at 10:25, was the fastest of the day, and she held sub-11:00 pace through the first five miles before the effort settled into the 11:30-12:40 range for the remainder of the course. Karr passed near the lululemon PowerUp Zone around mile 9.5, a stretch that saw her mile pace dip to 12:40, before she rallied over the final mile to close in 12:09. Finishing at Boulder's elevation of over 5,000 feet, her race reflects a strong fronthalf effort followed by a manageable fadean encouraging pattern to build from for future longdistance efforts.
