Age-Group Ace Powers Through a Strong Boulder 10K Lauren Mortimer finished the 2026 Boulderthon 10K in 42:47, an average pace of 6:54 per mile. That placed her 43rd overall out of 3,071 in the field and 14th among women, while topping the female 40-44 division. Last year she ran the Half Marathon at a 7:34 pace, so this outing marks a noticeably quicker clip over a shorter distance. Mortimer opened fast, covering the first mile in 6:13, the quickest of her race, and held a sub-6:45 pace through three miles. A dip to 7:16 in mile four slowed her cumulative average, but she rebounded with a 6:40 fifth mile before easing to the finish. Her steady effort through the opening 5K, completed near 6:31 pace, was the strongest stretch of the day, unfolding on a course that finishes on the Pearl Street Mall in a city sitting above 5,000 feet.
