Strong Middle Mile Fuels Steady 5K Finish Brittney Franklin finished the 2026 Boulderthon 5K in 32:27. Her race built through a quick second mile before settling into a solid closing stretch to the Pearl Street Mall finish. After an opening mile of 11:06, Franklin turned in her fastest mile of the race, covering the second mile in 9:15. She eased slightly over the final mile, finishing in 10:54, for a race that balanced a fast middle mile with a controlled close. Boulder's altitude, over 5,000 feet, adds context to any effort on this course.
