Steady Pace Powers a Strong 5K Finish Olivia Nuetzel, 18, of Boulder, completed the 2026 Boulderthon 5K in 32:11, an overall pace of 10:23 per mile. Her race was defined by a strong middle mile: after opening in 10:26, she surged to 8:47 for mile two her fastest mile of the day before settling to 11:59 over the closing stretch. That second-mile push moved her up the field before the pace eased late, a pattern worth noting as she builds toward future races. Racing in her hometown, Nuetzel took on Boulders 5,000-plus feet of elevation, a solid backdrop for a well-paced effort with a clear high point mid-race.
